The Ten Commandments was another film that my family
watched at Easter time. In fact, I think its still seen, usually
on Palm Sunday. Perhaps the networks like it because it is appropriate
for both christian and jewish faiths and therefore satisfies a
larger audience. At any rate, I love watching it even though some
of the cast members are almost comical in the interpretations of
the biblical characters they represent. Vincent Price and Edward
G. Robinson are especially humorous to watch as Baka and Dathan,
since, in my opinion, neither is appropriate for their respective
parts. Even so, I love watching this film because it represents
much that we love to see in DeMille films. You can find out more
about this film in the remake section.
