This
is by far the best ever interpretation of the Robin Hood story
ever put to film. With the lucious technicolor, beautiful
score by Erich Korngold and incredible cast it was a huge
success. Once again Olivia is cast along side Errol Flynn as
Maid Marian to his Robin Hood.
Not
only were the lead characters wonderful and played the parts as
if they were the characters, the supporting cast of Basil Rathbone
as Sir Guy of Gisbourne, Claude Rains as the sly Prince John, Alan
Hale as Little John and Eugene Pallette as Friar Tuck were first
rate.
I
think everyone must know the legend of Robin Hood and how he
took from the rich to give to the poor. They also know of his
love for Maid Marian and once again the chemistry between Olivia
and Errol is evident. Flynn is even better then he was in Captain
Blood and the duo are wonderful together.
