The
Petrified Forest
Warner Brothers, 1936
Starring
Humphrey Bogart, Leslie Howard, and Bette as the female lead
this is a classic story with modern undertones. It was first
a hit stage play with Howard and Bogart that transitioned nicely
to the screen. Clever dialog and has all of its characters
longing for a better place. Bogart's breakout film and one
of Bette's best. Don't miss it.
