Strike Up the Band, 1940 MGM's first Berkeley direct of the three films he did with Judy Garland and Micky Rooney. This is the most interesting and best done of the three. Two numbers "La Conga" and "Strike up the Band" are the most successful of those numbers that he did at MGM striving toward the spectacle mode.
