1940's and onward. Berkeley
left Warner Brothers in 1939 when his contract was not renewed.
However, MGM immediately offered him one and he worked for them until
1943. He next accepted an offer from 20th Century-Fox where he was
free to do some of his most outrageous technicolor work with such
stars as Carmen Miranda. After this period he then went back to Warners,
had a short stint with RKO, and then back to MGM. The following
